2025 National Conference on Correctional Healthcare Scholarship

The NCCHC Foundation will award up to 15 scholarships for students and correctional health professionals who have three or less years of experience in the field to attend the NCCHC National Conference on Correctional Health Care, taking place November 1-5 in Baltimore.
Completed applications are due no later than 12pm (CDT) on July 7, 2025. Awardees will be notified on
August 15.
Each scholarship includes full conference registration, lodging (up to four nights), and air travel expenses (up to $550), in addition to being paired with a seasoned correctional health care professional mentor.
Eligibility
Students in the following fields: medicine, nursing, pharmacology, pharmacy, psychology, psychiatry, public health, social work, substance use disorders, managed care, and criminal justice/corrections - OR - Individuals working in correctional health care for 3 years or less
- AND - Have NEVER attended an in-person NCCHC conference.

Named New Co-Chair of the NCCHC Nursing Advisory Council
NCCHC is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Deborah Shelton, PhD, RN-C, CCHP, as the new Chair of the Nursing Advisory Council and volunteer Nursing Accredited Provider Program Director.
In this role, Dr. Shelton will ensure that all NCCHC educational activities offering continuing nursing education credits comply with the rigorous standards set by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Dr. Shelton will co-chair the NAC with Patricia Blair, PhD, JD, CCHP-RN, CCHP-A, chair of the NCCHC
