Nurse Professional Development Practitioner Curricula
Eighteen percent of nurses in a new clinical setting leave within one year. Organizations that offer support to this strained and competitive workforce do have better retention rates. Nurse Professional Development Practitioners immersed into the correctional health system are not only a marketing tool for recruitment but drive factors that support nurse retention. Yet, this role is not utilized effectively. This program seeks to assist and support qualified nurses in their transition to these roles.
Criteria: ACNA member; MS/PhD/DNP in Nursing; CCHP certification; and opportunity to participate in the future design and sustainability of the CNCPP © curriculum program.
